Royal rehabilitation centre for brain and spinal injuries
Location: Ryde NSW
3G was initially engaged to undertake Re-Cladding works to the building, consisting of removal and replacement of the existing non-compliant polyethylene core ACP.
The Cladding replacement utilised a combination of Vitradual 3mm Solid Aluminium and Vitracore G2 4mm Aluminium due to the fabrication requirements of the project, including two curved entry details.
During invasive investigative works, it was apparent that there were several additional issues on the building which required rectification, these included;
- SOFFITS | Renewal of the Soffits extended to both the high-level perimeter and low-level Soffits which had already begun delaminating which was caused by several factors including; very poor framing construction and the use of incorrect materials (i.e. gauge of steel etc).
These works were completed in stages, allowing the Rehabilitation Centre to remain fully operational with minimal disruptions. 3G collaborated with the Builder and the Hospital Staff to ensure a smooth project which was delivered within the programme.
