Location: Newcastle NSW
3G was engaged to carry out the Re-Cladding works to The Boardwalk in Newcastle NSW.
This project had some unusual technical issues to overcome, where the Symonite installation system had been used, which utilises a specific angle detail, and the client and DA required replication of these details and the orientation of the sheets. If we were to retain the joint layout that was existing, could not be achieved. In collaboration with the supplier, we were able to install all of the panels in the same orientation, which is very important on metallic finishes, to ensure no colour differential on the sheets, and deliver compliant installation with manufacturer, client, details and wishes.
